Refund Policy
This policy explains exactly what you can and cannot be charged by ScoreBoost, and how refunds work. It is written to comply with the federal Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), 15 U.S.C. §§ 1679–1679j, and applicable Virginia law.
1. ScoreBoost charges no fees — so there is nothing to refund
ScoreBoost does not charge you for its services. There is no signup fee, no monthly fee, no per-item fee, and no per-round fee for auditing your report, preparing or mailing disputes, or reporting results. Because ScoreBoost collects $0 from you, there are no ScoreBoost service fees that could ever require a refund.
2. Your 3-business-day right to cancel
Under federal law you may cancel your signed agreement with ScoreBoost, for any reason and without penalty or obligation, at any time before midnight of the 3rd business day after you sign it. To cancel, use the Notice of Cancellation attached to your Service Agreement, or send any written notice to the address in Section 6. Any amount you paid to ScoreBoost (if any) is returned in full. See your Consumer Credit File Rights.
3. The MyFreeScoreNow subscription is a separate, third-party charge
The only amount you pay in connection with our services is a credit-monitoring subscription with MyFreeScoreNow ($1 for a 7-day trial, then $29.95/month at its then-current rate). MyFreeScoreNow is an independent third party. That charge is billed by MyFreeScoreNow, not by ScoreBoost, and ScoreBoost does not receive it except under any referral arrangement disclosed to you in writing.
Because ScoreBoost does not collect that payment, ScoreBoost cannot issue refunds for it. Refunds, cancellations, and billing questions for the monitoring subscription are governed by MyFreeScoreNow’s own terms and are handled directly with MyFreeScoreNow. You own that subscription and may cancel it with MyFreeScoreNow at any time to stop future charges. If you need help, we will walk you through canceling it — see Section 6.
4. No results are guaranteed
ScoreBoost does not promise any specific result, any change to your credit score, or the deletion or modification of any specific item, and no refund is owed on the basis of any expected outcome. We dispute information that is inaccurate, unverifiable, or obsolete; accurate, current, and verifiable information cannot be removed. Results vary from person to person.
5. How to request a refund or cancel
- To cancel ScoreBoost: send written notice (email or mail) to the contact in Section 6. Within the first 3 business days this is automatic and penalty-free.
- For a ScoreBoost billing error: email info@scoreboost.net with the date and amount; we refund verified errors within 10 business days.
- For the MyFreeScoreNow subscription: cancel or request a refund directly through MyFreeScoreNow under their terms. We’re happy to help you do it.
