Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the ScoreBoost website and services. By using our site or enrolling, you agree to them. Your paid engagement is also governed by your signed Service Agreement, which controls if anything here conflicts with it.
1. Who we are & what we do
ScoreBoost is a credit repair organization. We audit your credit reports and, on your behalf, dispute information that appears inaccurate, unverifiable, or obsolete under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Metro 2® standard. We are not a law firm, a credit counselor, or a credit bureau, and we do not provide legal or financial advice.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident, and you may only submit your own information or information you are legally authorized to provide. You agree that everything you give us is accurate and truthful.
3. Fees & the monitoring subscription
ScoreBoost charges you no fees for its services. The only amount you pay in connection with the service is a third-party credit-monitoring subscription with MyFreeScoreNow ($1 for a 7-day trial, then $29.95/month at its then-current rate), billed by MyFreeScoreNow, not by ScoreBoost. 4. Your right to cancel
You may cancel your signed agreement for any reason, without penalty, before midnight of the 3rd business day after signing, and you may stop the service at any time thereafter. Nothing in these Terms waives any right CROA gives you; any such waiver is void under 15 U.S.C. § 1679f. See your Consumer Credit File Rights.
5. No guaranteed results
We do not promise any particular outcome, any increase in any credit score, or the removal of any specific item. Accurate, current, and verifiable information cannot be removed. Results vary from person to person. You acknowledge you can dispute items yourself, for free, without hiring us.
6. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and the documents we need, through the secure portal.
- Keep your login credentials confidential and your account details current.
- Maintain your MyFreeScoreNow monitoring so we can access your reports.
- Do not use the service for any unlawful purpose or to submit false information.
7. Intellectual property & acceptable use
The ScoreBoost name, logo, site, and content are owned by ScoreBoost and may not be copied or reused without permission. You agree not to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt unauthorized access to the site or portal.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The site and services are provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. ScoreBoost is not liable for the acts of the credit bureaus, furnishers, or MyFreeScoreNow, or for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be limited under CROA or other applicable law, and these Terms do not ask you to waive any legal right or remedy.
9. Governing law & changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and applicable federal law. We may update them from time to time; the effective date above shows the current version, and continued use means you accept the update.
