The process

How prove-it-or-remove-it works

Every item on your credit report must comply with the Metro 2® reporting standard and be verifiable under federal law. We hold the bureaus and furnishers to it — item by item, round by round.

A specialist reviewing credit reports
1

We audit your report

Once your monitoring is connected, we pull your reports from all 3 bureaus and review every tradeline against the Metro 2® standard — dates, balances, statuses, remarks. Anything inaccurate, unverifiable, or obsolete gets flagged with a plain-language explanation.

We look for: re-aged dates · duplicate collections · balance mismatches across bureaus · items past the 7-year reporting limit · missing required fields · collector debt with no original-creditor link
2

We dispute — you do nothing

You confirm what we found; we prepare the disputes, mail them to the bureaus and furnishers, and track every response. No printing, no post office, no templates — our team does all the work on the backend.

Bureau disputes · furnisher direct disputes · method-of-verification follow-ups · escalations when they don’t respond properly
3

You see the proof

Bureaus generally have 30 days to respond, so a round runs about a month. When responses come back, we diff your before/after reports and show exactly what was deleted, corrected, or verified. That documented result is the only thing you’re ever billed on.

Every round in your portal: what was sent · what came back · what changed · what happens next round

Results vary. We dispute inaccurate, unverifiable, and obsolete items; accurate, verifiable information cannot be removed, and no outcome is guaranteed. You can always dispute items on your report yourself, for free.

Your rights, in writing

Before any work begins you get a written contract spelling out the services, your costs, and your rights — including a 3-business-day cancellation window at no cost. ScoreBoost’s service is free; the only thing you pay for is the required MyFreeScoreNow monitoring subscription ($1 7-day trial, then $29.95/mo), and the contract states that plainly.

Cancellation, in plain terms

Your right to walk away is protected by law and spelled out in your agreement.

Can I cancel after I sign?

Yes. Federal law gives you until midnight of the 3rd business day after you sign to cancel for any reason, with no penalty or obligation. The exact steps are printed on the Notice of Cancellation attached to your Service Agreement.

How do I cancel?

Mail or deliver a signed, dated copy of the cancellation notice — or any other written notice — to ScoreBoost before that deadline. Keep the second copy for your records. You can also email info@scoreboost.net or call 800.495.6935 and we’ll walk you through it.

What happens to money I’ve paid?

ScoreBoost’s service is free, so there are no ScoreBoost fees to refund. The only thing you pay for is your MyFreeScoreNow monitoring subscription, which is billed and cancelled directly through MyFreeScoreNow.

Can I stop after the first 3 days?

Yes — you can stop between rounds at any time. ScoreBoost’s service is free, so ending the engagement simply means no new rounds are started; you’d just cancel your MyFreeScoreNow subscription with them. See your full Consumer Credit File Rights.

A plain-language note: ScoreBoost cannot guarantee any particular result, score change, or timeline, and no one can remove accurate, current, verifiable information from a credit report. You always have the right to dispute anything on your report yourself, for free. Results vary from person to person.
